GEO Rocks!

"GEO Rocks!" is a high-energy animated comedy following a group of Stone Age teenagers who form a rock band to sing about their favourite subject: rocks and the science of geology. Led by their worldly singer and guitarist Izzy Lizard, the excitable bassist Jam-Jam Forehead and, along with their silent, hairy drummer Linxy, the band views their primitive tools and inventive gadgets as "high-tech" in a world where everyone else is a "dinosaur". To overcome writer's block and learn the facts needed for their rock anthems, the band embarks on adventures across ancient Ireland to consult the world's first married hermits, Mark and Mary Dolman, who live in a neolithic dolman and dispense scientific knowledge like a Stone Age Google browser. The series blends silly music video sequences with educational overtones to explore concepts like the rock cycle, erosion at the Cliffs of Moher, and plate tectonics.
